Vote No on Missouri Amendment 3 this November.   Here's Why:

Bishop James Johnston of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph urges a no vote on Amendment 3.  He wrote, "If approved this constitutional amendment will establish in our state the most absolute and extreme right to abortion.  In effect, Missourians will greatly limit their ability to regulate abortion and it will be very difficult to hold the abortion industry and Planned Parenthood responsible for medical negligence.  If the amendment is approved we will intentionally tie our hands and give extensive freedom to the abortion industry and open the door to force us as taxpayers to pay for abortions, as they are doing to the residents of Michigan, who approved a similar proposal."  Here are some bullet points to think about:
  • It removes parental consent laws (overrides them)
  • Allows abortions through 9 months!
  • Eliminates the requirement for abortions to be provided only by medical professionals.
  • Ushers in taxpayer funded abortions.
  • Prohibits women from bringing malpractice lawsuits when injured.
No matter what your politics, Amendment 3 is not the right way to legislate this issue.  Please vote NO on November 5, 2024.  As Bishop Johnston wrote, "October is Respect Life Month.  This year it takes on an even greater importance for us all."
